NEW DELHI: A slew of discounts that airlines have doled out over the past couple of months may have cheered fliers, but it would delay and make more arduous, a return to profitability for the loss-making carriers. Since January, airlines across the country were forced to follow low-cost carrier SpiceJetBSE -2.82 % into offering discounts on three occasions. The price cuts have stimulated the market and brought in some immediate revenue to the carriers, but have also left them strugglin ..
