Now students to rate performance of Ravenshaw University teachers

tudents of Ravenshaw University now will be able to evaluate the performance of their teachers. The University authorities have decided to introduce student feedback in which students will assess and rate the performance of their teachers, with an aim to improve the quality of teaching in the university. The decision was taken at the recent staff council meeting and the varsity plans to introduce the new system from March. "We will prepare a questionnaire which will help students assess the performance of the teachers on various parameters such as sincerity, style of teaching and depth of teaching," said B C Tripathy, Vice Chancellor of the university, ToI reported. The VC said students would have to fill the questionnaire after the end of every semester. The questionnaire will have basic questions like whether the teacher is punctual, whether the teacher imparts education in an interesting manner, whether he/she goes into the depth of the subject and whether his/her style of teaching suits the students or not.
