Sales of the Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid have finally commenced in Europe. Production of the vehicles started in late August at Mitsubishi Motor Corporation’s (MMC) Okazaki plant in Nagoya, Japan.
The first units were available in The Netherlands, and Mitsubishi plans to sequentially launch this product throughout Europe to help cope with large demand, starting with The Netherlands and Nordic countries (e.g., Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland). Mitsubishi has actually received more than 10,000 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV orders already.
According to HybridCars, The Outlander PHEV has some decent specifications, including fuel economy up to 123 MPG! (1.9 L/100 km)
